Copa joins biggest airlines network

(newsroompanama.com)  Panama’s Copa Airlines has joined Star Alliance the world’s most extensive airlines network.
It’s membership will become effective within 18 months.

The move follows in the footsteps of its traditional commercial ally, Continental Airlines, which joined the Star Alliance a year ago.

There are three main airline groups, Star Alliance, SkyTeam and One World. Copa left SkyTeam in 2009, and remained independent for several months. The Star Alliance has 31 members with access to 1,292 destinations.
