Spay The Strays Group Holds Second Annual Halloween Dance

Coronado Bay Tower was THE place to be on Saturday, 30 October as witches, warlocks, goblins, ghouls and other scary creatures of the night boogied under the stars. Approximately 100 guests came out to support the second annual Spook-tacular Halloween FUNdraiser Dance for the Spay the Strays Group.  John Sims spun tunes ranging from salsa, to line dancing, to disco and even the waiters joined in for the YMCA song! Although everyone showed amazing creativity as they vied for best costume, only one could win.  The Mummy, otherwise known as John July, received the most votes and was awarded an overnight stay for two at the Playa Bonita Resort.  A raffle was held for an overnight stay for two at Gamboa Resort and was won by Pam Sims.

Both of these gift certificates were compliments of the Bern Resorts whose projects also include the Coronado Bay Tower.  Liz Larroquette Stone, the manager, was the perfect hostess (although you’ll see in the photos that she got kind of carried away…) and all her staff deserve a round of thanks for doing a terrific job.

All proceeds went to the Spay the Strays Group to further their cause of sterilizing street dogs and cats as well as the pets of low income Panamanians.  The Group would like to express their appreciation to the community for their continued support.  If you are one of the few who missed this year’s dance, put your thinking cap on for next year which promises to be even bigger and better!
