Martinelli Condemns Nicaragua's Invasion of Costa Rica

alt(Panama-Guide) - Panama America -  After ignoring yesterday the border conflict between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, Panamanian president Ricardo Martinelli made a strong call to the Nicaraguan government to withdraw their troops Martinelli urged both Costa Rica and Nicaragua to sit down and resolve their problems. "They cannot be invading a country the way they did, because this action is not consistent between brotherly countries," said Martinelli upon his arrival at the Palace of the Herons. President Martinelli said "Costa Rica has my full support. We cannot allow any country to break into the affairs of another, with third parties using military forces overlapping with state support." This Thursday, the Organization of American States (OAS) will resume deliberations to find an agreement to resolve the border conflict between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, after failing to reach a consensus on Wednesday.
