Introducing Artist: MK Hargrove

MK Hargrove. Marilyn (MK) has resided in Panama at Playa Blanca for over 2 years. Since then she has become involved in the art community and is passionate about helping other artists find markets for their work. She is an advisor to Reflection Gallery, an established and respected art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico (reflectiongallery.com ). Marilyn is a working artist here in Panama. She calls herself a “skier” because her works are predominantly sky-scapes. Her work is presently valued at $1.75 per square inch. When asked what advice she would give to the novice art buyer she answered

“Unless you are buying very expensive investment art, your purchase should be emotional. Literally fall in love with the feel of the piece, the color, the texture, what it represents to you.  The buyer of art must consider the questions, Do I love this piece? Will it engage me for a long, long time? If these answers are ‘yes’ and you can afford it, by all means buy it!”

MK Hargrove along with 11 other artists will be displaying their work on Saturday before Easter (March 22)in El Valle at El Rincon Vallero from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. To contact MK Hargrove or learn more about her, please visit mkhargroveart.com
