Private enterprise creating new jobs in Panama

(newsroompanama.com) A total of 10,605 new jobs have been generated by private enterprise in the first half of 2010, says Panama’s Ministry of Economy and Finance .

That’s an increase of 5.2% over to last year, says a report of the Ministry’s Directorate of Economic and Social Analysis. The report adds that salaries have increased at a higher rate by 10.5%

The survey was conducted among 341 business involved in five economic activities: manufacturing, wholesale trade and retail, hotels and restaurants and businesses engaged in the provision of services.
