Panama package tours coming soon
(newsroompanama.com) The lack of package tours" has prevented Panama from attracting more tourists say officials with the Panama Tourism Authority and they are now working with private enterprises to develop "package tours" that will allow visitors to see different parts of the country.
The authority is developing two tourist routes in the province of Veraguas that will allow travellers to experience various parts of Panama in a single day.
The first route includes a tour of the main churches of Veraguas, such as the Basilica Jesús Nazareno, a visit to the orchid farms in the District of Santa Fe and a tour of the Juan Arosemena Demosthenes School to see frescoes painted by the Panamanian artist Roberto Lewis.
The second route, called the river tour, will include a visit to pre-Columbian communities in Soná, a boat tour of the San Pablo River, renowned for its biodiversity.
A campaign will soon be launched promoting the tours.
