For the 2010 Annual CSA Christmas Craft and Bake Sale we are happy to welcome the following ‘Familiar Faces’ who are returning this year….
Spay The Strays are back again and providing an assortment of items to raise funds for future clinics. STS regularly holds spay/neuter clinics for street dogs/cats and pets of low income Panamanians. Please support this worthwhile group and make sure you buy the 2011 Calendar. (Who can resist those cute little faces??)
Connie and TC are once again offering a wonderful array of delectable chocolates. Get them while they are hot!! As my mother-in-law always says, “Don’t bother giving me anything that I cannot eat or drink! At my age, I do not have the time to out-live the warranty on a new toaster!” I’m pretty sure she would be happy with one of their creations!
Linda Mann and Christine Moeser are returning and showcasing their fabulous jewelry made of precious metals and glass. Definitely something every lady would love to receive as a token of appreciation!
Franco Getzy, back with us for his third year, is a famous artist from South Africa who now makes his home in El Valle. Franco specializes in sculptures made from concrete, and he also conducts workshops that can let your imagination just run wild! Come and check out his new creations.
Diane Wilcox and her group of fine seamstresses from Panama Canal Quilters and Quillow 2 will also be joining us again this year. Their amazing quilting is not only ‘a work of art’ but also functional!! All proceeds from their sales are used to fund various charitable projects that they support through the year. A quilt…..now there is something to treasure for years to come!
Cheryl Joule, a third-time participant, will awe you with her special jewelry made of stones. Her most recent endeavors are Serenity Stone necklaces, and she will even make them for your pet’s collar. I know we can agree that we all, including our pets, need a little serenity and tranquility in our lives!
Barbara Camph, a friend from the beginning of these shows and returning again this year, will be displaying her unparalleled stained glass pieces which artistically mix beauty and function. Barbara, a resident of El Valle, is also available to do custom and commissioned work.
Christine Trexel, a regular, will again be displaying her hand-made paper projects including unique jewelry boxes. Just what you need to be able to store all those jewelry purchases made at the show! Also, be sure to stop by her table to find out about her paper-making workshops and classes in the area
Leonar Arrocha, will be back again this year representing Kiwanis. Kiwanis, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world “one child and one community at a time,” will have a variety of items for you to purchase to support their cause.
San Fernando Clinic, from downtown Coronado and back for their third appearance, will be onsite to promote their first-class facility and to familiarize all of us with their role in our beach communities. We are very fortunate to have San Fernando Clinic here to help all of us with our healthcare needs, and we all need to know what is available to us.
And, in addition to those who are returning for a second or third time, we are happy to welcome many Newcomers to the Annual CSA Craft and Bake Sale.
Craft Burundanguitas, Studio Crafts, joining us for the first time, is your scrapbook and craft store in Panama. Be sure to stop by their table to see how they can help you create that special scrapbook to display your treasured memories or to help you create those personalized, original cards.
Sheila Robbins, a Coronado resident and newcomer to the CSA Craft and Bake Sale, will exhibit her handmade jewelry as well as paintings and great photographs, all of which are just waiting for you to frame and display in your home.
Nedelka I Campbell, joining us for the first time, will be showcasing her soul jewelry which is crafted entirely of seeds and of semi-precious stones. Now, isn’t that a woman’s best friend??
Dr. Jose Baria is just opening his practice in the Coronado area and is also joining us for the first time. What a great opportunity to meet Dr. Baria and find out about his practice and how his office can make your smile the most healthy and radiant around!!
Martha Vuytowec, another newcomer, will be displaying her custom-made glass sinks! These sinks, handcrafted of fused glass made of careful color combinations and details, are each a true one-of-a-kind piece of art, yet functional, too! In addition, Jill Womack will be joining her to showcase her shell sculptures.
And, of course, let’s not forget the Coronado Social Association who is making this event possible! They are now in the process of creating those popular and lovely ‘Coconut Pelicans,’ individually hand painted, as well as another ‘surprise’ plus the sale of books, CDs, etc. And, to add to the fun during the day, there will be various raffles and auctions which will include a French dinner for four consisting of escargot a la bourguignon, coq au vin, and finally crepes banana flambé for desert! Add to that your favorite bottle(s) of wine, and you can transform your dining room into a high-class restaurant! Parts of the proceeds are earmarked for the Xmas baskets to be distributed in the families of handicapped children.
We will again be offering a variety of baked goods from our local supporters, so all past and present bakers for the cause, please contact Maureen Osmond by e-mail: mjosmand62@yahoo.com or by calling 6904-1726 to let her know what you will be contributing.
