"Mi Diario" Coverage of Bocas Serial Killer "Wild Bill" Cortez
(Panama-Guide) - Mi Diario - A serial murderer who kills his victims in order to steal their property seems to be the plot of a thriller movie. However, this is a real life story taking place in the in the province of Bocas del Toro. After the discovery of two bodies on Tuesday on Isla Cauchero and a third yesterday afternoon in the same place, a series of homicides was exposed that have occurred in this province, for which William Adolfo "Wild Bill" Cortez Reese is being sought, a 34 year old suspect in the deaths and the owner of the property where the bodies were found. According to authorities, Cortez-Reese is a businessman and in his home were found Mexican and Danish passports (though the Internet appears a passport number NT8HHDD99 from the Netherlands) and according to immigration records he has come from Mexico, Belize and Costa Rica. One of the bodies has been identified.
