Thanks to the Playa Community Residents---You Made it Happen!

The Playa Community came out strongly in support of the Arts and Artists this past Saturday at Penonome’s El Arte en el Parque. Last year there were many artists participating and very few art buyers! This year there were fewer artists and lots and lots of art buyers.   The sales ranged in price from $40.00 to $2000.00. I believe that almost every artist sold a piece of art! These works of art were predominantly bought by our beach residents. The organizing committee for the event headed by Norita Scott-Pezet, wholeheartedly thanks all of you who lent your support to this cause. I’m sure that when other artists hear about the success of this year’s event, next year will even have more variety and choices.

Cynthia Bleiler of Gorgona won the painting that was raffled. The raffle and donations brought in close to $1000.00 and many of the raffle tickets were purchased by our beach residents. Several aspiring artists will be able to attend art school due to your generosity.
