Panama Declares Emergency Restrictions on Horse Movements Due To Equine Encephalitis Outbreak
(Panama-Guide) - Panama America - Panama's Minister of Agricultural Development, Victor Manuel Perez, reported there is an emergency measure in place against the movement of horses in the country, due to an outbreak of equine encephalitis. Perez said that if horse owners recognize symptoms of equine encephalitis in their animals, they should immediately report to MIDA veterinarians to have vaccines against the disease applied to their animals.
