Protest March Planned for Thursday, 17 June 2010
(Panama-Guide) - La Critica - Environmentalists, SUNTRACS unionists, teachers, pilots, medical leaders and groups associated with FRENADESO agreed to march to the Presidency of the Republic on Thursday to ask president Ricardo Martinelli to veto the "9 in 1" law which reformed three Codes and six laws. A group of lawyers is drafting a complaint today to challenge the constitutionality of the controversial law, which they will present before the Supreme Court.
