5.9 Quake Shakes Costa Rica - Felt in Panama
(Panama-Guide) An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale struck Costa Rica yesterday afternoon at 5:16 pm local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 9.227°N, 84.318°W at a depth of 21 km, in Costa Rica. Although the epicenter was quite some distance away from Panama, a few residents in Panama's Western most province of Chiriqui felt the tremor. There were no reports of deaths, injuries, or significant property damage.
