Teachers and volunteers wanted!

As more, families with children are beginning to move into the Pacific beach area; many are attending Panama Coast International School.  The school is now working with families here to build resources for private lessons for children after school.  Currently families seek teachers for music, sports, art, and French and perhaps you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming involved (and in earing extra income) by offering such lessons.  PCIS will create a directory of skilled teachers offering private lessons ; please contact them if you wish to be included.

At the school, PCIS offers students the opportunity to try their hand/mind at skills not included in the regular academic curriculum.  So far these have included batik, water polo, karate, stichery, cooking, German songs, belly dancing, piano, drawing, hockey, electronics, and others!  Perhaps you are someone you know has a skill that they would like to volunteer to teach as a mini-course at PCIS.  The school would pair a volunteer with one of their teachers and a group of 3-8 students for a one-a-week, four-session class.

PCIS is also seeking community volunteers to help in the library, reading or writing with individual students, or supervising lunchtime activities.

Please contact Kathy Kress at 6786-0854 or at panamacoastrentals@yahoo.com if you would like to volunteer.
