US Ambassador Barbara Stephenson Leaving for the UK

(Panama-Guide) - Panama America - The U.S. ambassador in Panama, Barbara Stephenson, will leave her post in three months. Stephenson explained that after two years in office, she is leaving because she has been appointed as the new Ambassador to the United Kingdom. She said the the Consul David Gilmour will remain as the Ambassador in charge of the post until her replacement is appointed. Stephenson said that in the three months remaining of her tenure she will continue the program for scholarships for intensive English language programs in public schools.
