Central Government Steps In on Garbage Collection
(Panama-Guide) Garbage is the subject of the day. This week on Tuesday the Cabinet Council decided to allocate $3.1 million dollars immediately to be used for the collection and disposal of garbage in Panama City. The municipal government of Bosco Vallarino and the elected representatives of the City Council have been locked in a battle over waste management, and in the meantime the garbage is piling up in the city.
