Police Seize Explosives in Chiriqui

(Panama-Guide) - Telemetro - About 25 pounds of explosives, short-range radios, a multimeter and other items were seized by authorities from the Police and the Drug Prosecutor's Office in the Rio Sereno area of the province of Chiriqui. Authorities also seized an unspecified amount of marijuana. Javier Caraballo, Panama's Specialized Anti-Drug Prosecutor, said the explosives seized were of the type used in the demolition of structures, but if used illegally could cause serious damage.
