Martinelli Would Take Over Garbage Collection (Because It's Not Working)

(Panama-Guide) - La Estrella - Recently serious problems have been created due to a lack of an efficient system of garbage collection. These problems have occurred in Panama City as well as in many other of the surrounding municipalities. Many claim these problems are being caused by the incompetence of the municipal governments, who are responsible for garbage collection. In response, Panamanian president Ricardo Martinelli has entered the fray, saying the municipal councils should "stop with the political games and get to work."
