Close The Streets in Protest? Go To Jail For A Year (Whoops!)
(Panama-Guide) - El Siglo - In a long and marathon second debate session yesterday, which continued until press time, Panama's National Assembly continued to discuss Bill 100 which would reestablish the "criminal record" and which includes new elements such as the elimination of the revocation of mandates, and the establishment of jail sentences from six months to up to a year for those who would close streets during protests and impede the free flow of traffic.
