Panama City Organic Food Alert: Veggie Fest

The Veggie Fest and Wellness Conference is coming to Panama City on Saturday and Sunday, April 10 and 11. Come to Parque Omar on Via Porras and stuff yourself with broccoli and other organic foods prepared by the likes of Dr. Aris Latham, the Father of Ethical Raw Food and the founder of Sunfire Culinary Institute. There will be talks, demonstrations, discussions and FOOD from 9 am to 6 pm both days.  

The first Panama Veggie Fest Spa and Wellness Conference is sponsored by Pana Carib Limited, S.A. Panama. Although this is the first such event in Panama, the company’s Jamaica branch, PanaCarib Business Solutions Limited, puts on an annual Spa & Wellness trade show in the island nation.

Veggie Fest will have speakers, workshops, and demonstrations in three sections: Health, Spa, and Culinary. Talks will include Health Tourism: Prospects & Opportunities in Latin America, Yoga & Meditation as Food for the Soul, Marketing for Your Spa & Wellness Business, The Phenomenal Growth of Food Tourism, and Website & Internet Marketing and Promotional Strategies.

Speakers at Veggie Fest will include Rosemary Parkinson, renowned photo-journalist, author of NYAM Jamaica and recipient of the World Gourmand Cookbook Awards 2008 and Eric De Ycaza, Executive Director of Ageless Wonders Panamaon speaking on food tourism

Panamanian-born Dr. Aris Latham, the Father of Ethical Raw Food and the founder of Sunfire Culinary Institute and its Latin equivalent – Cocina Solar will delight delegates with mouth-watering vegan meals and his famous Paradise Pies. There will be an adjacent farmer’s market so that attendees can purchase the same organic ingredients that Dr. Latham will be using in his recipes.
