This outbreak has led health authorities to conduct studies to determine the cause - whether it be a virus, water, or food. Gladys Guerrero, The Chief of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health (MINSA), told El Siglo they confirmed this outbreak last week, and said sanitation specialists are conducting studies of the water and other agents.
