Urban Photography Exhibit in Panama City

Heads up to photographers. There will be an Urban Photography Exhibit at Arco Chato in Casco Viejo from Thursday, March 11 to Sunday, March 14. Those wishing to exhibit can still submit their photos. Visit www.enteratepanama.com for entry forms and registration info. Photographers may submit up to ten photos in 8 by 10 format. Registration ends March 2.

Themes of the exhibit will be urban culture, social criticism, and the gap between rich and poor in modern Panama City. Amateurs as well as professionals can exhibit. Exhibiting your photos is free! However, there is also a contest with prizes. If you wish to compete for the $1,000 first prize, $500 second prize, and $250 third prize for professional or $800, $400, and $200 amateur prizes you will need to pay an entry fee, $35 for professionals and $25 for amateurs. There is also a third category, for fans.The entry fee is $10 and prizes are $300, $150, and $75.

The event at Arco Chato will be from 6 pm to 10 pm every night from March 11 to 14 and will be free to the public.
