Disagreement Over Which Country Will Prosecute Drug Traffickers
(Panama-Guide) - Source: La Prensa - United States (U.S.) and Panama disagree over who should prosecute the three crew members of the sailboat "Caribbean Dream" who were arrested last Friday with a multi-ton shipment of cocaine. Panama's First Drug Prosecutor Javier Caravallo said both countries are analyzing the bilateral Salas-Becker treaty to define which country should have jurisdiction to prosecute the drug traffickers who were arrested, one Colombian and two Turks.
