Rigoberto Gónzalez basically worked as the "right-hand man" for Ana Matilde Gomez while she was the Attorney General of Panama. He resigned after the Supreme Court decided to suspend Ana Matilde Gomez from her position as the Attorney General. I discussed the case with him, and it's obvious the administration of Ricardo Martinelli simply wanted Ana Matilde Gomez out of the way. Once Martinelli appointed two new magistrates to the Supreme Court in early January 2010 he had a majority on the court.
