Martinelli's Cousin Convicted in Mexico

(Panama-Guide) - Source: La Prensa - Four Panamanians - among them a cousin of President Ricardo Martinelli - have been formally linked to the violent Beltrán Leyva brothers Mexican drug cartel, according to the Mexican Attorney General. The Eighth District Judge in Criminal Matters of Jalisco sentenced Ramón Ricardo Martinelli Corro, José Luis Álvarez Cummings and César Fábrega Samaniego to prison. The Panamanian woman who was part of this group, Ninoska Escalante Paredes, was also sentenced by the First District Judge of Coahuila in Saltillo.
