Women's Shelter Mission

A couple weeks ago I met an awesome lady with a mission she is trying to fulfill.  Helping women - giving them a place to go and recover from substance abuse, mental abuse and physical abuse.  So the women's shelter has been started.  Celmira and her husband, Roy, have left Panama City to start their mission in Bejuco.  Celmira and Roy are arranging for a physician to assist with any medical issues, and other professionals are being sought to meet counselling and other needs.

Now the hard work and pleasure of helping women in need begins.  But before they can really get this going they need some help. So the question you are asking is what can we do to help?  I am here to let you know what is required.

They have rented a three bedroom house to get this mission of helping women going - the house is unfurnished - has absolutely nothing.  So they require everything that is needed in a home.

FRIDGE is the top thing at the moment they are needing.  Also a Washer and Dryer would be a great help. furniture (sofa, coffee table, end tables, dining table, chairs, bunk beds, mattresses, dressers, book shelves, outdoor table and chairs, and TV)

linens (towels, sheets, pillows, bed spreads, etc.)

kitchen items (cabinets, plates, glasses, silverware, dish rack, pots and pans, etc.)

cleaning supplies (mop, broom, bucket, sponges, dust cloths or rags, toilet bowl brushes and cleaner, dish soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, etc.)

personal hygiene (feminine products, shaving cream, plastic shavers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs and brushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.)

miscellaneous (paint, wall hangings, rugs, lamps, fans, screens, etc.)

food supplies (canned and dry goods, nonperishable items)

Donations of cash to help out with the rent and anything else that is needed. If you would like to do a monthly donation of monies or dry goods please let us know and I will gladly deliver it to the shelter. If you can find it in your heart to help, it would be so appreciated - give me a call either myself or Deanna  and we will come and pick up whatever you can help us out with.
