This month's Expat West event will take place at Rincon del Chef, in Coronado on the 27th.

The Expat West event was started in2006 by Honey Dodge, when she first arrived in Panama and moved to Altos del Maria. Not wanting to drive all the way into the city to meet other Expats, Honey and her husband Larry organized monthly events at the beaches. They choose Coronado, as a central meeting place for Pacific folk. Over the years, Expats West has served as a means of introduction for new comers into the community, and has been a great way for more seasoned residents to meet up with old friends.

Honey and Larry are now leaving Panama and moving on to new adventures in Uruguay. The Expat West torch is passed on to me, Jamuna Burry of  Playacommunity.Com .
 
With heartfelt thanks and fond memories, I want to acknowledge the work and effort Honey put into the monthly Expat West gathering. I know, there were times she had to change direction with hours to spare and at other times, she had to overcome countless obstacles to get the word out to people.
 
Your work is appreciated, and I am honored to take over the organization of Expat West .
