Colón Mayor Will File A Complaint Against Corruption Czar

(Panama-Guide) - Source: Melquisedec Quintero for El Siglo - The ongoing battle between Panama's Anti Corruption Czar, Fernando Núñez Fábrega, with the Mayor of Colón, Dámaso García, gained strength this morning, after Garcia announced that today he would file a complaint against the Czar for the fabrication of evidence. Garcia went to the office of the Czar early yesterday morning, asking to be attended by Fabrega, who did not come out to speak to him, which is why he set a deadline of 6:00 pm this afternoon for Fabrega to retract his accusations. Once the deadline passes Garcia said he would present a complaint against the Czar today for violation of Article 378 of the Criminal Code for the fabrication of evidence of a criminal offense.
