Panama New Year’s Eve: Creating Smiles

This year's Eve offers a great opportunity to have fun and do  a good deed at the same time. The  New Year’s Eve celebration at the Pangea Restaurant in El Cangrejo will be raising money for Operation Smile (Operation Sonrisa). Since 1991 Operation Smile has sponsored reconstructive surgery for 2,600 Panamanian children. Repair of cleft lips and palates and well as hand deformities is free to poor families through donated Operation Smile’s dedicated team. The new Pangea Restaurant along with Alta Vista Spa, Deco Trend Bamboo Linens, Coronado Golf Resort, and Panama Limousine Service are sponsoring the event with proceeds donated to Operation Smile.

Pangea is an elegant new restaurant on Calle Alberto Navarro in the El Cangrejo neighborhood of Panama City. Admission to the event is $75 and space is limited to 160. Call and reserve your tickets or pick them up at the restaurant now. A ticket entitles you to 4 hours of open bar, a tapas plate and your choice from Pangea’s special New Year’s Eve menu.

Come, have a great time, and give a little to a worthy cause.

Operation Smile (Operation Sonrise): Through reconstructive surgery, medical and educational programs, lives have been transformed because of Operation Smile’s dedicated team. All missions are performed completely on a volunteer basis and with supplies 100% paid for through donations raised right here in Panama. These children’s families do not have the means to go to the doctors, so missions have taken Operation Smile’s volunteers (including some of Panama's best known Plastic Surgeons and Orthodontists among many more specialists!), deep into the far reaches of the Panama to complete the most difficult of surgeries, and most of the time in makeshift operating rooms.
