Corrupt Colón Municipal Officials Busted in Extorsion Sting - Caught Red Handed and On Tape!

newsnviews2.jpg(Panama-Guide) By Delfia Cortez and Meredith Serracin for the Panama America - An undercover operation was conducted Friday night by the office of the First Circuit Prosecutor and the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ), after Antonia Rios, who is the sister of the Governor of the province Colón, Pedro Rios, and the owner of a recycling company, came in person to the prosecutor's office to lodge a complaint about an alleged attempt to extort money from her involving several officials from the Municipality of Colón. Antonia Rios, who is the complainant in the case, told EPASA that although she has been managing a recycling company for years, the legal advisor to the Municipality of Colón, Alexis Sinclair, said she was buying cans and other metals during nighttime hours, and that she would be fined $10,000 dollars.
