newsnviews2.jpg(Panama-Guide ) By WILFREDO JORDAN S. for La Prensa - The National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) began an investigation because the thermal electrical generation plants have been off line for the past two months supposedly due to technical reasons, system damage, or maintenance. Those plants - Bahía Las Minas, El Giral, Cativá, Generación Eléctrica, S.A., Panam y Corporación panameña de Energía, S.A. (Copesa) - should be available to produce energy which can not be produced by the hydroelectric plants due to lack of rain. "We are going to investigate what has happened with the preventive maintenance of these plants," said Asep administrator, Dennis Moreno.
