"Malapagas" Threaten to Sue IDAAN
(Panama-Guide ) By Zelideth Cortez for La Critica - Yesterday 30 work crews from the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) continued with operations to cut water service to people who are way behind on their bills, including in some of Panama's most exclusive neighborhoods, causing "great dissatisfaction." Some residents threatened to sue the entity for invasion of private property. However, the deputy director of marketing of the organization, Thomas Guerra, stressed that "all we have been doing is trying to enforce their commitment of the defaulters to cancel their debts with the entity."
