Hospital Nacional Still Accepting Tricare
(Panama-Guide) By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - The Hospital Nacional in Panama City is still accepting active duty and retired patients with Tricare benefits, although on a somewhat limited basis. They accept Tricare for the laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy, as well as ambulatory surgery, and about 90% of hospitalization cases. The problem is that new restrictions placed on Panama by Tricare administrators makes it impossible to accept some cases and still operate at a profit. Hospitals are first and foremost businesses, and they have to take care of the bottom line, obviously.
