Scammers Claiming To Be Lawyers Taking Advantage of "Chinos"
(Panama-Guide ) By Luis Batista for La Critica - The director of the National Immigration Service, María Cristina González, called upon Asians who are not legal in the country to submit their paperwork directly to the immigration offices to avoid being victimized by people charge a lot of money to supposedly process fictitious immigration paperwork. The official statements came after a meeting held recently between President Ricardo Martinelli and all of the Chinese associations in Panama. At the meeting, Panamanian officials clarified there are no specific enforcement actions being taken against foreigners in Panama according to country of origin, let alone towards Asians.
