42,000 Poor Panamanian Families Face Eviction For Not Paying Mortgages

newsnviews2.jpg(Panama-Guide ) La Critica - Some 42,000 borrowers who are currently in default on loans granted to them by the Banco Hipotecario (BH) are at risk of being evicted from their homes and apartments if they do not start paying off the accumulated debt that already reaches more than $80 million dollars. The Manager of the Banco Hipotecario, Rafael Guardia, said they have already started to execute evictions in Patio Pinel and in El Chorrillo and in the coming weeks they will begin to evict people from Los Libertadores, Tuira Chucunaque and the area of Salomón of La Chorrera, which are full of gang members, criminals, and thugs.
