Panama Canal Gross Income Up 9.2% Despite Global Economic Crisis
(Panama-Guide ) Dia a Dia - Toll revenues from the Panama Canal increased 9.2% during fiscal year 2009 when compared to fiscal year 2008, reported a source today. Total Panama Canal toll revenue for fiscal year 2009 totaled $1.438 billion dollars, compared to $1.317 billion dollars for fiscal year 2008, said a source with the Office of Analysis of Marketing for the Panama Canal Authority (ACP). The Panama Canal runs on a fiscal year from 1 October until 30 September of the next year.
