Belgis Castro Now In the El Renacer Prison
(Panama_Guide ) By Manuel Vega Loo for La Prensa - At 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, former Education Minister Belgis Castro was transferred to the El Renacer prison on order of the Director of the National Penitentiary System, Diomedes Kaa. Castro, who was guarded by four officers of the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ), was wearing the same clothes as last night when he was arrested for violating house arrest. Some of Castro's relatives were in the vicinity of the DIJ, but they declined to make any statements to the media.
