Mitchell Intends To Revive the Fifth Chamber of the Supreme Court
(Panama_Guide ) By Carlos Estrada Aguilar for La Critica - The President of Panama's Supreme Court, Harley James Mitchell, presented last night before the full session of the National Assembly a bill that would revive the Fifth Chamber of the Supreme Court - dedicated to resolving issues of Constitutional Guarantees. Mitchell's proposal would allow for the establishment of a new jurisdiction of guarantees to process appeals made to the Supreme Court for issues of protection of rights, and cases involving habeas data (access to information) and habeas corpus.
