Changes in Property Tax introduced by Law 49

Gonzalo de la Guardia for Panama-Guide.com - As you may or may not know, an important tax reform was passed a couple of weeks ago by the government and became Law of the republic by means of Law 49. There are many interesting changes in the Law, including modifications in dividends taxes, general property appraisals by the state, capital gains tax on sale of properties, etc. The changes I will briefly discuss in this article are pertaining to the property tax regimen, which may be of great interest to many of you readers. The first important change is one the affect all Horizontal Property condos (apartments).
