Another attempt to stop the CEMIS case

newsnviews2.jpg(Panama-Guide) By JOSEPH OTERO for La Prensa - A new action against the reopening of the CEMIS case was presented by counsel for former Democratic Revolutionary Party lawmaker Mateo Castillero, one of the three defendants in this process. Castillero's technical defense filed a motion for annulment yesterday, alleging that the Solicitor General, Ana Matilde Gomez, violated due process by failing to notify the parties involved of a request to reopen the case made in March 2005. On 22 July 2009, the full Supreme Court decided to reopen the file, but the ruling to hand down this decision still has not been published and it remains in the hands of Judge Oyden Ortega.
