Cutito Larrinaga to Perform a Benefit Concert for a new Library in San Carlos

Finca La Maya, a Cultural Arts & Events Center near San Carlos, Panama, is hosting an evening of romantic music and dinner to benefit a new community library. The concert and dinner party will be on December 15, 2007 at 4 pm. The festivities and concert will feature celebrated Panamanian guitarist, Cutito Larrinaga. Larrinaga is a legend in Panama, performing throughout his long career with many of Latin America's most famous musicians, amongst others.    Participants will enjoy a romantic evening with Cutito Larrinaga, and an excellent buffet prepared by Glenn Gamboa, the extraordinary chef from "Three Sisters" gourmet international cooking school in El Valle de Anton. Local artists, as well as works created by children in La Maya's art classes, will be exhibited for sale, and a raffle for prizes will also be held.

Proceeds for the event will be used to complete construction of a library for the community. Currently the library is partially built. Purchase of materials for completion of walls, windows, light fixtures, floor tiles, shelving for books, and tables and chairs are now needed.

The library will be located next to the new classroom facility completed earlier this year at La Maya, where free English language and Art for Kids classes are offered weekly. Finca La Maya's goal is to enhance education and cultural opportunities for local Panamanians. See our website at www.fincalamaya.com for more information on our community programs.
