Decision Expected Thursday in Corruption Case
(Panama-Guide) TVN Noticias - Judge Victor Benavides said this Thursday we will know the fate of the former Education Minister Begis Castro when the full Supreme Court decides on the request of Habeas Corpus presented by his defense lawyers to have his arrest and subsequent detention declared illegal. Benavides said most of the judges will participate in the decision, and sources in the court indicate the draft decision could declare Castro's arrest to be legal, but to order a different interim measure, rather than detention.
