Panama's Economy Grew 2.4% Despite Crisis
(Panama-Guide) By Carlos Vargas for the Panama America - Panama's Minister of Economy and Finance, Alberto Vallarino, described Panama's economic growth of 2.4% during the first half of 2009 as "positive." The Minister's statements came at the presentation of the estimate for the Quarterly Gross Domestic Product of the Republic of Panama for 2009. He said Panama's economy has not suffered from a recession, despite the global crisis.
