Martinelli Evaluates Asking For Vice Minister's Resignation
(Panama-Guide) By EDUARDO MENDOZA for La Prensa - Panama's Vice Minister of Government and Justice, Alejandro Garuz, is under the scrutiny of President Ricardo Martinelli. Martinelli confirmed this yesterday after a series of reports published in La Prensa revealed Garuz received payments from a slot machine business through a company called Horamar Finances Corp. Faced with questions from journalists about the the possibilities of Garuz staying in office, Martinelli said, "If Mr. Garuz, is involved, one way or the other, we'll have to ask for his resignation.
