National Assembly Repeals SENIS Law
(Panama-Guide) TVN Noticias - With the repeal of the law that created the National Intelligence and Security Service (SENIS) by the full body of the National Assembly, it will now fall to the Executive Branch to submit within six months a proposal to reorganize the Public Security and National Defense Council. At first the repeal of the SENIS law was resisted by the PRD, however they reached a consensus and agreed to adopt a new article for the purpose of regulating, through formal law, permanent bodies of state security.
