President Ricardo Martinelli Aware of the Citricos S.A. Problem
(Panama-Guide) There has been a little more action up at the farm of Dan and Jeanie Miller in the El Banco area in the District of Dolega, province of ChiriquÃ. If you'll remember, these are the people who have been illegally locked into their property by a company called Citricos S.A. since about 17 July 2009. The company has put a huge padlock on their gate, posted guards, and even dug trenches across the road to prevent the Millers from being able to access or leave their farm. And they have done all of this in spite of the fact that there are valid and current orders from the local government and law enforcement authorities preventing them from doing so. This morning I wrote an email to Panama's President Ricardo Martinelli in order to make him aware of the situation.
