New Spanish Courses At PCIS

Susan O’Brien and Kathy Kress will be offering the following twelve-week intensive Spanish courses at Panama Coast International School in Gorgona. Beyond the Basics!
Tuesdays; 4 to 6 pm (course fee $120)
September 1 through November 17

This course is for students that are already using some Spanish vocabulary, but want to improve their grammar and conversational skills.  Focus will be on learning and using present-tense verbs in a variety of fun-filled activities that will enhance daily interactions.  Students will receive weekly handouts and homework assignments.

Into Intermediate!
Thursdays; 4 to 6 pm (course fee $120)
September 3 through November 19

This course is for students that are speaking Spanish in the present tense and are ready to start dwelling in the past!  Each lesson will include a grammar discussion and practice of the preterit and imperfect tenses as well as fun activities to practice conversational skills that will impress their friends and neighbors!  Students will receive weekly handouts and homework assignments.

¿Qué Sopá?
Wednesdays; 4 to 6 pm (course fee $120)
September 3 through November 19

This course is for students that have studied Spanish and are already using past, present, and future tenses.  Current-events readings will lead to weekly in-class discussions and composition homework assignments.
