Transportation Workers Give Ultimatum to Martinelli

Members of the transportation union from the eastern region of Panama City established an ultimatum for the government of Ricardo Martinelli. They want to know within five days or less what their situation will be within the governments plans to modernize the public transportation system and to introduce a metro rail system.

Yesterday morning transportation union members marched from Parque Porras to the Presidency to submit their requests to the president. "We want to talk to him, not with any committee," said Dionel Broce, the leader of the Pedregal bus terminal.
