Panama Canal Quilters Raffle Quilt Winner!

The winning ticket of the "Tropical Rainforest " quilted wall hanging was drawn on 28 October at the "Who's New" bazaar at the Continental Hotel.  The winner was Karen Dertien, a teacher at Balboa Academy. Congratulations to her and many thanks to all those who so generously participated in the raffle.   The Wall hanging was machine peiced and quilted and the blocks were done using paper piecing technique.

The Panama Canal Quilters will continue to offer a quilt or wall hanging at least once or twice a year. The proceeds go to various charities and in particular to a Panamanian student at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Panama.
