Panama's Judiciary Asks For A Budget of $102 Million

newsnviews2.jpg(Panama-Guide) By Manuel Vega Loo for La Prensa - Panama's judiciary has requested a budget of $102 million dollars, based on their plans to make Panama's justice system more accessible to the public. The justification of the budget presented to the Ministry of Economy and Finance was realized by the President of the Supreme Court of Justice Harley James Mitchell and the Vice President Esmeralda Arosemena de TroitiƱo. The MEF was represented by the Vice Minister Frank de Lima and the Budget Director's Office, Omar V. Castillo, accompanied by his working group. According to a press release the judiciary budget for 2008 was $67 million, while in 2009 they requested $102 million but only received $60 million.
