The Amazing Mariano Rivera - Three Saves in Three Days
(Panama-Guide) Mariano Rivera is on pace to have one of the best seasons of his career. After coming off of the All Start break, where he set another record as being the only pitcher in history to have saved four All Star games, Rivera racked up three more saves in three consecutive days on July 17, 18, and 19 against Detroit. He now has 26 saves this season and 508 for this career, still 67 behind all-time leader Trevor Hoffman. Rivera averaged 39.75 saves per season from 1997 through 2008 and he's on a pace to break his own personal best of 53 saves in a single season which he did in 2004.
